Description: This is a creation-based life science course designed to prepare middle school students for high school science.  We will study scientific method, plants, microscopy, classification, animals, the human body, insects, and principles of physical science.  Class lab time will include work with microscopes, dissections, and more.  Students should expect two hours per week of homework with both reading assignments and science activities.  Science should be fun, easy to understand, and interesting.  By the end of the year, the teacher hopes the students will be amazed with God’s creation and will feel capable of and interested in tackling more advanced science coursework.
