Age:  14 & up
Cost:  $240 tuition per year, paid in four $60 payments;
$30 copy/supply fee per year,  paid in one $30 payment

Description: The subject of health will be approached holistically covering all aspects of healthy living from a Biblical perspective.  This includes a unit on physical health which covers an overview of the human body and all its systems, nutrition, exercise, and discussion of disease.  A unit on mental/emotional health will cover subjects such as stress, anxiety and self-care.  A unit on social/relational health, which is a strong influence in the high school years, will include how to have healthy relationships with friends, parents, and romantic interests.  A unit on spiritual health will focus on the most important relationship of all...the one with Jesus.  It will include spiritual growth, spiritual disciplines, biblical worldview, and exploring a vision for your life.  Students should expect up to 2-3 hours of homework per week.  This class will not only teach health facts, but challenge high school students in many real life issues through discussions and interactive activities.
